Mr. Hamiltons experience in commercial realestate spans over 19 years. Over the last sixteen
years, he has been responsible for the sale of over 36,000 apartment units in 37 states, representing
over $1 Billion in value. Approximately 90% of these transactions were for properties with a type
of Low Income involvement.
Starting as a specialist in HUD Section 8 properties, Mr. Hamilton used this
knowledge base to start working on Rural Development properties, as well as
properties with Low Income Housing Tax Credit restrictions. Currently, he is the most
active Broker of Rural Development properties in the country.
Mr. Hamilton has represented both local and national clients including AIMCO,
MuniMae (MMA Financial), AMURCON, Associated Estates, NAPICO, Holtzman &
Silverman (Village Green), Fannie Mae and various state housing authorities.
Prior to entering the brokerage side of the business, Mr. Hamilton spent three years
as a Research Manager for a large brokerage company. During that time he was
regularly quoted as a source by national and local real estate publications. He
continues his history of education of others through newsletters as well as speaking at
both national and local conferences.
In 2011, Hamilton Realty Advisors, LLC (HRA) became an independent entity to
better serve owners of low-income apartment complexes, unhindered by the rules of a
large company that was not attuned to the nuances of this marketplace. Currently
HRA is recruiting new agents to provide a more comprehensive coverage of the Low
Income marketplace on a nation-wide basis.
